Incense Safety

Smoke Inhalation

Some people are sensitive to smoke, please use with proper ventilation.

If you are too sensitive to smoke to enjoy your Resin Incense, you can try using an oil burner to release its aroma.  Add vegetable oil to the dish with a small amount of resin and let it slowly warm to produce fragrance in the air.


Burn Risk

Hot charcoals can leave a serious burn never touch a lit incense or charcoal, use tongs.

Completely extinguish all incense before discarding either by allowing half a day to cool completely in its burner or submerging in water before discarding.

Your furniture can be burned too, use a coaster underneath your metal incense burners to prevent surface damage.


Poison Risk

Incense is not meant to be ingested.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

If you store incense in a home with children and pets its a good idea to have activated charcoal tablets from the drugstore on hand in case of accidental ingestion.

Fire Hazard

Never leave a burning charcoal unattended as sparks can and do happen.

Never leave burning incense unattended.

Use a proper burner for your incense that will contain ash and smoldering flame.

Do not hang anything above your burning incense.

Avoid placing burning incense near drafts that may blow pieces onto nearby fabrics or combustibles.
